When Square announced a remake for the [handheld] systems, you’d think they were going to remake all the games of the franchise from the NES to PSX but then hopes were somewhat crushed by Nomura.

New scans of the Final Fantasy IV remake for the DS include:

- The game logo.
- The CG renders of Cecil, Rosa and Kain.
- A preview of being in a battle, because of the DS’s dual screens. The touch screen will display the dialog and character status.

Expect the Japanese release to be in Winter 2007. No word on an N.A. release but expect it to be shortly after the JP release.
